The beginning.
The Jane and Jack comic all started with him. The adventure has a real-life origin story.
Meet Jack, the spunky foxie.
Jack has always had a bright personality, a very expressive face and a silly demeanour – a true fox terrier.
Because of how much he loved being around people, especially kids, it was somewhat inevitable.
At comic festivals, fans kept asking: ‘Make a comic about your dog! He’s hilarious!’
So… I listened.
Jane
Jane, the sometimes bitter, mostly sarcastic young lady, who’s always up for an adventure, even if she’ll say otherwise.
She used to be a dj, she’s an artist, and a freelancer. She found Jack in town and immediately bonded, she loves her sidekick energetic buddy.
Jack
The young fox terrier lost pup, who is always an optimist. Was rescued by Jane in town and immediately took to her.
His strengths are a keen nose who will “smell out” trouble and fun times, and will always go for it, nevermind the danger or difficulty.
The first comic draft
The pilot comic had just 10 pages and a few extra goodies. In just 1 summer, a story was born. I sketched all the time, till i had the right story idea.
To my surprise, when printed and ready to go, the first mini-comic sold out in 2 or 3 days only.
The Comic evolves to a new Novel
From a pilot 10 page mini-comic to a full 52 page graphic novel 📖, the story is ongoing. A longer story unfolds.
A lighthearted friendship tale… that becomes an unexpected adventure across time & space.
